Are there some nouns for moving in and moving out? Muutto means just move, relocation but one moves out from one house and moves in to another one. Do such words like sisäänmuutto and poismuutto exist? Are they common?
Both these words exist but they’re mostly used in the title of lists reminding you of everything you’re supposed to do when moving away or into a place. You will find them in phrases such as “ennen sisäänmuuttoa” (before moving in) and “poismuuton yhteydessä” (when moving out) in instructions. So you’ll definitely find “poismuutto-ohjeita” or “poismuuttosiivous” if you google a bit as well as the word “sisäänmuuttoilmoitus”.
